A woman tried to stab a Tucson fire captain in the chest at the scene of an apartment blaze, Tucson Fire says.

The call came in around 2:30 a.m. Friday from the 4300 block of East 29th Street. As firefighters readied to enter the apartment, a naked woman name Ebony Hurndon living there came at the captain with a knife. His firefighter turnout acted as body armor and prevented him from being injured. Tucson police Sgt. Pete Dugan said she had burned her cat on the stove.

Police took Hurndon down with a Taser after she ignored multiple warnings to drop the knife. She was taken into custody and booked into Pima County Jail. She faces charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument, arson of an occupied structure and animal cruelty.
