An 18-year-old motorcyclist has died from injuries from a crash that happened in Green Valley late Thursday evening.
Green Valley Fire says it happened on Continental Road and Abrego Drive right in front of the Green Valley Fire District Station #153.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department says Green Valley District deputies responded to a call of a collision involving a crash and motorcycle at 7:40 p.m. last night.
PCSD says they learned the motorcyclist was westbound on Continental Road approaching Abrego Drive. The driver of the car turned north onto Abrego from eastbound Continental and the motorcyclist was unable to avoid the collision and struck the passenger side of the car.
The motorcyclist was transported to Banner University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. He has been identified as Tyler Woelfersheim.
The incident is still under investigation at this time.
