Tanque Verde Unified School District named Scott Hagerman as its new superintendent.
Hagerman will replace Kimberly Sharp, who is set to retire June 30 after two years in the position.
Hagerman, a graduate of Northern Arizona University and Michigan State University, is leaving a job as superintendent of Continental Elementary School District in Green Valley.
"I am honored that the board has chosen me as their next superintendent," he said in a statement. "There are so many great things going on in the Tanque Verde district, and I am looking forward to continuing the tradition of excellence there."
