PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say an inmate was injured when he kicked out the back door of a police transport van and got out of the moving vehicle on a Phoenix freeway.
Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves says the prisoner is in custody.
The incident occurred Wednesday on Interstate 10 near Warner Road.
No additional information is immediately available.
