For the second year in a row, a Tucson girl who passed away after being diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor will be honored at an Arizona Diamondbacks game.

Gianna Hurtado was 5-years-old when she passed away last year. In May 2016 her family found out she had Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).

This Saturday is Gianna's Force of Hope fundraiser at Chase Field and $10 of every ticket purchased through Groupmatics will go to a foundation started by her family.

According to the event website, the money will go towards helping families with children diagnosed with DIPG and for research.

Gianna loved Star Wars and baseball, including the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks. Gianna even threw out the first pitch at a Tucson Saguaros game.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
