A very hot start to the week. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for much of southeast Arizona today through Wednesday, from 10 AM to 8 PM each day.
Highs will soar between 108 and 118 degrees. This will bring a high risk of heat related illness for much of the population, especially those who are heat sensitive or don't have access to cool places. Staying hydrated and cool is imperative during this time. Any outdoor activity should done before 10 AM and/or after 8 PM.
Many locations, including Tucson, will be breaking records today through Wednesday. But increasing moisture will cool things down late in the week, with increasing storms chances into the weekend.
