TUCSON, Ariz. — One of Arizona's biggest employers is about to get even bigger.

Raytheon Missile Systems executives joined Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey at an event in Phoenix Wednesday morning to announce a major expansion in Arizona, including 1,000 jobs in Tucson.

The governor and Raytheon executives also used the opportunity to tout a recent report from Arizona State University that found a $2.6 billion economic impact from the company in Arizona.

In a news release from the governor's office Wednesday, Raytheon Missile Systems president Wes Kramer says the company already employs 13,000 people in Arizona.
