TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — One person is seriously injured after being shot by a police officer near Fort Lowell and Stone Tuesday afternoon, the Tucson Police Department said.
Police say officers were first called to the area on reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they tracked down a suspect who fired at them in the back of a local tile shop.
That's when an officer fired back, a TPD spokesperson said, leaving the suspect with life-threatening injuries.
Police haven't released any information on the officer who fired the shots nor the suspect.
