New warehouse and distribution center could bring more jobs to Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. - Mayor Jonathan Rothschild attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new warehouse and distribution center on the south side on Tuesday.

The building is an expansion in the Tucson-area for a company called Chamberlain Group (CGI), the world's leading manufacturer of garage door and gate openers.

The 300,000 square-foot facility is walking distance from the company's technical support center and boasts eco-friendly features.

The CEO says more space for the company could lead to more jobs in Tucson down the road.

"We have 400 employees in the Tucson area right now and we have really great expectations around our continued growth and being able to expand our presence in the Tucson area," said JoAnna Sohovich, CEO, Chamberlain Group.
