Hookah lounge shooting suspects arrested

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened outside Moonlight Hookah Lounge early New Year's Eve. 

Police arrested 21-year-old Tiras Hamilton-Morris and 19-year-old Isaiah Stewart.

Hamilton-Morris was arrested for 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a  Deadly Weapon and 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with Serious Physical Injury.

Stewart was arrested for 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with Serious Physical Injury and 1 count of Prohibited Possessor.
 
At 2:30 a.m. on December 31, Sgt. Peter Dugan with the Tucson Police Department said they received a 9-1-1 call for a report of a shooting outside the hookah lounge at 4509 East 22nd Street. 

Police learned that a group was trying to enter the hookah lounge but was denied entry. 

A verbal altercation then broke out in the parking lot between the group and an unknown party. 

Dugan said multiple rounds were fired and two men were shot.

The two were taken to a nearby hospital by friends. 

One man was shot multiple times and was in life-threatening condition. The second man shot had non-life-threatening injuries.
