Strong winds return to southern Arizona

Strong southerly winds will blow back into the forecast today and Tuesday. Winds will pick up in the afternoon between 10 and 20 mph in Tucson.

Stronger winds expected across Cochise county and over the higher elevations. 

A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon to 7 PM for the mountains of Graham and Greenlee counties, as well as Navajo and Apache counties. Winds in these areas will blow up to 25 mph, and gust as high as 40 mph. 

These winds will keep highs in the low to mid 90s through Wednesday.
