Arizona Pipeline, under contract with Southwest Gas Co., has begun utility relocation work in preparation for the start of the Grant Road and Oracle Road Intersection Improvement project. The relocation work is currently taking place on Grant Road at 15th Avenue.

Travel lane restrictions are in place on the south side of Grant Road in the curb lane and middle lane. Work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Some night work and weekend work will be required when crews are installing new lines across Grant Road at 15th Avenue. This work is scheduled to be complete in about two weeks.

The Grant Road and Oracle Road Intersection Improvement project is scheduled to begin in early Fall 2011.

This intersection improvement project is the first of many projects the Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) has planned along the Grant Road Corridor.

The Grant Road Improvement Project is managed by the City of Tucson and funded by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA). The improvement of Grant Road is one of the projects approved by voters in May 2006 as part of the RTA plan.
