About Dave
Dave Silver serves as sports anchor for KGUN 9 News at 6 and 10. Dave is a familiar face to Tucson viewers, having worked in southern Arizona since 1983. Before that, he worked at KSBY TV in San Luis Obispo, California and at KMIR TV in Palm Springs, California. Over the past three decades, Dave’s had the opportunity to witness some of Arizona’s greatest sports moments. He’s covered the University of Arizona’s four Final Four appearances, the Super Bowl and the World Series. He’s reported from bowl games and the college baseball and softball World Series.Dave graduated from San Diego State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Dave has received numerous awards for his broadcasting achievements and in 1998 was inducted into the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame. In his spare time, Dave enjoys playing pick up basketball, reading, music and playing the incredible golf courses of southern Arizona.
