About Jennifer
Jennifer is a Virginia native but has quickly come to love Tucson.
After earning her degree from Virginia Tech with a double-major in Broadcast Communications and Political Science, Jennifer started her career as a news producer for Fox 21-27 in Roanoke, VA. During that time she also learned the ropes of reporting and worked a second job as a radio DJ. Soon she was producing, reporting for and anchoring the Fox 21-27 10pm newscast. After seven years in Roanoke, Jennifer packed up her car and headed west to Tucson.
Jennifer’s passion for reporting centers on people and helping solve community problems. You’ll see that in her Who’s Trashing Tucson reports. That passion also earned her an Edward R. Murrow Award and recognition from the Arizona Associated Press Broadcasters Association. Jennifer also won the 2007 Arizona School Board Association Media Award for excellence in Public Education Reporting. In 2008 she was voted by Tucson Lifestyle readers as the “Best Female TV News Anchor.”
In her spare time, Jennifer loves playing golf and attending sporting events. Although now “cross country” Jennifer is still very close with her family; parents Mark and Debbie and sisters Amanda and Rebecca.
Jennifer and her husband Ryan enjoy taking in the desert southwest. They have two Chihuahuas Brandi and Daisy.
Please email Jennifer if you have something you’d like her to investigate.
