Jessie Harper broke an 0-13 post season slump with a bases loaded hit in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Arizona defeated Baylor, 3-2, in game one of an NCAA super regional.

The Wildcats got on the board first with a Mo Mercado RBI double in the first inning off Kelsee Selmen. Katiyana Mauga, who went 3-3 with a walk, later homered. It was her 92nd career long ball, as she is three home runs shy of the NCAA all-time record.

Arizona starting pitcher Danielle O'Toole ran into trouble in the sixth inning when she gave up a two-run home run to Ari Hawkins.

The game was tied heading into the bottom of the seventh, when the Wildcats loaded the bases with noone out as Harper came to the plate. Her walk-off hit came against Gia Rodoni, who had relieved Selmen.

Arizona now leads the best of three series one game to none. Game two is Saturday night at Hillenbrand Stadium. The winner goes to the Women's World Series.
