The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Arizona Coyotes, 6-4, in a preseason game at the Tucson Convention Center.

It was the first ever NHL preseason game in Tucson. Last year, the Coyotes played an intrasquad preseason scrimmage at the TCC.

Former Tucson Roadrunners scored the first two goals for Arizona. Brendan Perlini started the scoring, and Kyle Wood made it 2-0 with a power play goal.

Louis Domingue started in net for Arizona but was shaken up on the Ducks 3rd goal. He suffered an undisclosed upper-body injury, and left the game late in the second period and was replaced by Marek Langhamer.

The other Coyotes goals were scored by Dylan Strome and Mario Kempe.

Several of the bigger name players on both teams didn't play. Arizona's Olver Ekman-Larsson made the trip but was a scratch due to a knee injury. Anaheim forwards Ryan Getzlaf, Ryan Kesler, and Corey Perry did not make the trip.

The Coyotes have two more road preseason games before opening their season at Anaheim on October 5th.
