TUCSON (KGUN 9- TV) - The Arizona men's basketball team received a No. 6 seed in Sunday's bracket unveiling and will face Belmont in Salt Lake City. The game will begin at 5:20 MDT.
Belmont (26-6) received the No. 11 seed in the Western conference after defeating Murray State in the Ohio Valley Conference final, 70-68. The Bruins are no strangers to beating Pac-12 teams, as they beat Stanford in Palo Alto last November, 70-62.
Coach Sean Miller said, "Belmont is a terrific shooting team and they are not just a good team, but a great program. We have the ultimate respect for them. You can play the game as good matchup, bad matchup, but when you play in the NCAA tournament, it's all about advancing, so in any game you play, it is going to be difficult. I don't know if any of us looks at the opponent and says, `Boy that's a great matchup, this is going to be easy'. We know it is going to be a challenge; we're not even looking beyond that game."
Other Pac-12 teams in the tournament include: Oregon, UCLA, and California.
