Arizona hosts ASU for season finale

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - No. 18 Arizona hosts ASU on Saturday for its regular season finale. Head coach Sean Miller looks to improve his 3-0 record in regular season home finales while at Arizona.
The Wildcats (23-6) are coming off losses to USC and UCLA. Their 74-69 loss at UCLA last Saturday can be summed up by UCLA outscoring Arizona 20-6 in the first four minutes of each half.
Freshman Grant Jerrett led four Wildcats in double figures with 14 points, while the other freshman Kaleb Tarzczewski grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Sun Devils enter Saturday’s game with a 20-10 record following a 57-56 loss at USC.
Three ASU players average in double figures led by Jahii Carson’s 17.8 points per game. Carrick Felix leads the Sun Devils in rebounding at 8.4 rebounds per game.
In the last matchup between the Arizona schools, UA came up with a 71-54 win over ASU. Mark Lyons led all scorers with 24 points followed by Nick Johnson’s 19 and Solomon Hill’s 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The Cats shot 56% from the field and outscored the Sun Devils 42-28 in the closing period.
For senior leaders Solomon Hill and Kevin Parrom, this will be their last college game played in McKale Center. Over the last four years, the Cats have won 92 games, including a 55-11 record at home, advanced to the NCAA Tournament twice, made one trip to the Elite Eight, and claimed the 2011 Pac-10 championship.
