UA Football season opener moved to August 30th

TUCSON (Arizona Athletics) Athletics Director Greg Byrne and the Arizona Athletics Department have announced that the 2013 football home opener against Northern Arizona, originally scheduled for Sat., Aug. 31, has been moved to Fri., Aug. 30.
The Wildcats and the Lumberjacks will play Fri., Aug. 30 at Arizona Stadium. Game time is either 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. MT. The television selection and official start time will be announced by the Pac-12 Conference in June.
The Wildcats will host six home games at Arizona Stadium and travel for six road games in 2013. UA is coming off an 8-5 record and a Gildan New Mexico Bowl win in 2012.
Arizona Athletics is currently in the middle of the renewal period for Wildcat Club gifts and football season tickets. The Wildcats began spring practice on Sat., March 2 with 14 practices spread over five weeks (March 2-April 13). UA will host a scrimmage on Fri., March 29 at Phoenix College. The annual Spring Game will be held Sat., April 13 at Kindall Field/Sancet Stadium.
