Cardinals Larry Fitzgerald selected to the Pro Bowl
Reporter: Jason Barr, Sports Director
TEMPE (AP) Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has been selected to represent the NFC in the 2013 Pro Bowl.
Initially selected as an alternate, Fitzgerald replaces Brandon Marshall of the Chicago Bears. This is Fitzgerald’s seventh Pro Bowl selection (2005, ’07-12), the most by any offensive player in team history.
Among all Cardinals players, he is tied with Hall of Fame defensive back Roger Wehrli for the second most selections behind only Hall of Fame safety Larry Wilson’s 8. Fitzgerald also joins Larry Wilson (1965-70) and defensive back Aeneas Williams (1994-99) as the only three players in team history to earn six consecutive Pro Bowl selections; Fitzgerald is the only offensive player to do so.
The Pro Bowl is Sunday, January 27th, in Honolulu.
