Salpointe star running back commits to Brown University

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Salpointe Catholic senior running back Johnny Pena tweeted that he will attend Brown University later this year.
Pena had 1,526 yards and 25 touchdowns for the Lancers last season. Salpointe finished with a 12-2 record after losing in the Division 2 state semifinals.
Pena's decision comes one week after junior teammate Cam Denson verbally committed to the University of Arizona Wildcats.
Pena finished his high school career as the school's all-time leading rusher. Brown, located in Providence, Rhode Island, plays in the Ivy League.
