TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Arizona Wildcat running back Daniel Jenkins tweeted on Wednesday night that he's headed to Washington State to play his senior season.
Jenkins tweeted, "U of A will always be my alma mater. I am eexcited for the new opportunity to play against the best of the best and achieve my goals at WSU."
As a graduate transfer, Jenkins does not have to sit out a season. In order to be eligible, he must enroll in a graduate program not offered by the University of Arizona.
Wildcats football coach Rich Rodriguez first announced that Jenkins would transfer in the week following the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
In 2012, Jenkins rushed 67 times for 293 yards as a backup to All-Ameican Ka'Deem Carey. Jenkins will have an opportunity for more playing time with the Cougars.
Washington State plays at Arizona on November 16th.
