TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Border patrol agents arrested a young Hispanic woman after discovering nearly a pound of heroin on her.
Customs and Border Protection officers selected 18-year-old Selena Andrea Perez-Cruz for additional inspection as she was attempting to enter the U.S. through the pedestrian lane Wednesday, according to Juan Osorio with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
During the inspection, a female CBP officer located a single package containing approximately 13.4 ounces of heroin tucked inside the woman's bra, Osorio said.
Officers seized the heroin and Perez was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
