YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - An Arizona man has pleaded guilty to strangling his mother to death.
KSWT-TV reports that Michael Allen changed his plea Friday in front of Yuma County Superior Court Judge John Nelson following a plea deal. The 22-year-old was facing first degree murder charge after police say he killed his mother, 47-year-old Cynthia Allen, in 2011.
Allen is scheduled to be sentenced March 22.
He remains in jail on $2 million bond.
