PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities in southwestern Arizona say they've found a vehicle in a canal near Interstate 10.
Search and rescue crews from the Central Arizona Project and the La Paz County Sheriff's Office located the car about 10 a.m. Friday.
It's not immediately known if there's a body in the vehicle.
The Arizona Republic says crews discovered the vehicle about 3 miles from the point of entry of a gravel road near I-10 milepost 67.
CAP officials say crews battled murky, fast-moving water in the canal, which spans 80 feet and is 25 feet deep at the center.
La Paz sheriff's officials say swerve marks on the gravel road showed the car drove off an embankment and crashed through a fence before landing in the canal.
