Hostage situation unfolding in Alabama

MIDLAND CITY, Ala. (KGUN9 TV/AP) - A hostage standoff in Alabama, involving a 6 year old boy, is entering its 17th hour.
The Dale County Sheriff say a man shot a school bus driver in Midland City on Tuesday afternoon after he refused to let the child off the bus. The unidentified driver later died of his wounds.
Authorities say the shooter took the child to an area behind a church, into an underground bunker. Police are negotiating with him through a PVP pipe that runs into the bunker.
