TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Two diabetic hikers were rescued on March 16 by U.S. Customs and Border Protections, Office of Air and Marine and Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue teams.

The first lost hiker was found vomiting and had lost much of his hearing due to diabetic issues just north of Sabino Canyon, near Hutch’s Pool.

The rescued man was flown to the Incident Command Center where an ambulance transferred him to the nearest hospital.

The second was found in Kimble Peak.

The pilots could not land in the harsh terrain though, forced to pull the hiker up via fast-rope.

He was also sent to the hospital.

CBP made a video available of the rescue at http://youtu.be/sj0XdaK7MxA.
