TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A local elementary school was placed on lockdown Thursday while deputies searched for a possibly armed man.
Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that deputies first responded to a domestic situation in the area near the school, which is located at 1900 E Summit St.
Peine says the situation got out of hand and someone pulled out a gun. A man took off from the scene and deputies did not know whether he was armed or not.
The school was placed on a lockdown as a precaution.
Deputies did not locate the man.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
