SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Sierra Vista Police have arrested a 29-year-old for burglary and outstanding warrants.

SVPD responded to an alarm call in the 500 block of Howard Drive on March 7.

Officers stopped 29-year-old Michael Dixon from Tombstone.  He had an outstanding warrant out of Cochise County. He was arrested for that warrant.

In a news release, Corporal Scott Borgstadt with SVPD said that Dixon was carrying bags with several pieces of jewelry.

Officers then searched the area where Dixon jumped the wall and determined a second residence, also in the 500 block of Howard Drive, had been burglarized. Officers learned that Dixon had attempted to burglarize the first residence on Howard Drive but left when the alarm went off.

Dixon was arrested on the Failure to Pay warrant and two counts of Burglary. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
