BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Years of effort to open a new range for recreational shooters in the Bullhead City area will be marked Wednesday with the public dedication of the Tri-State Shooting Park about 10 miles southeast of the Mohave County community.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department says there'll be a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, remarks by dignitaries and a presentation of colors by an honor guard.
The new facility will feature a trap and skeet range, a 200-yard pistol and rifle shooting range, and a 50-yard pistol range when construction is complete.
According to the department, the shooting park replaces a range closed in 1999 because of development in the area.
The new range is being built on 315 acres provided to Game and Fish by the federal Bureau of Land Management.
