TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Congressman Ron Barber will meet with constituents at this weekend's Festival of Books.
Barber is looking forward to hearing the thoughts and concerns of some of the tens of thousands of people who will attend the Arizona Daily Star Festival of Books, according to Mark Kimble, Communications Director for Barber's office.
Barber will be located in the Science City area of the Festival of Books Saturday, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Members of Barber's staff will also be available Saturday to help people who have problems or concerns with federal issues such as Social Security, Medicare or veteran-related matters, according to Kimble.
The UA College of Science and BIO5 Institute will be working with the Arizona SciTech Festival to host Science City. In Science City, visitors will experience hands-on activities, exhibits, lectures, tours, shows and learn how advances in science can impact daily life.
Friday evening, Barber will attend the Tucson Festival of Books Author's Table Dinner, a prelude to the festival, which runs through Sunday.
"The Festival of Books is only five years old, but it quickly has become one of the best-attended and most-respected book events in the nation," Barber said.
