Apartment evacuated after police find pipe bombs

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The bomb squad responded to an apartment complex Thursday where two pipe bombs were found in a man's belongings.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police tells KGUN9 that the manager of an apartment complex at 610 E. Mohave Rd. was eviciting a resident and moving belongings out of the apartment when he found a box of ammunition and fireworks.
The resident has not been seen since January.
The manager called TPD who responded and found two pipe bombs.
The bomb squad responded, and one building at the complex had to be evacuated.
The bombs have been removed from the apartment and the streets in the area have been reopened.
Detectives are staying on scene to investigate.
