A motorcyclist is dead after slamming into a pickup truck

TUCSON (KGUN-TV) - A Tucson man died Saturday after crashing his motorcycle into a pickup truck on State Route 83.
The driver of a 2003 Ford pickup truck was making a left turn onto Gardner Canyon Road when 68-year-old Arthur Francis Roper tried to overtake the truck on his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle, according a representative from the duty office of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Roper hit the left side of the truck and died as a result of his injuries.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck did not sustain any injuries.
