UAPD investigating strong-arm robbery

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - University of Arizona Police are on the scene of a strong-arm robbery that took place Thursday morning at the Highland Avenue parking garage.
Joe Bermudez, a crime prevention officer at UAPD, tells KGUN9 that the suspect is described as a man 25 to 30 years of age, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with an orange and black logo on the left sleeve and faded baggy blue jeans.
In a news release, Sgt. Juan Alvarez said that the suspect also had a tattoo on his left hand described as possibly a rose. The suspect stole the victim's property and fled on foot down the northeast stairwell of the Highland garage.
No weapon was involved and no injuries were sustained.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts should contact UA Police at 520-621-8273.
