SAN LUIS, Ariz. (AP) - Federal authorities say a man wanted in California in a homicide case has been arrested at the southern Arizona border.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say 26-year-old Raul Marin Sandoval was taken into custody at the Port of San Luis.
CBP officers referred Sandoval for additional inspection when he attempted to enter Arizona through a pedestrian crossing on Tuesday.
A routine record check showed he was wanted in his native Salinas on a 2004 homicide warrant by the Monterey Sheriff's Office.
San Luis police subsequently took custody of Sandoval.
Authorities say Sandoval was featured twice on the television show "America's Most Wanted" in 2011, indicating that he wanted in Salinas for homicide.
