TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima Community College governing board approved resident tuition rates for those in the deferred action program in a 4 to 1 vote Wednesday night.

A spokesman with PCC tells KGUN9 that the vote will allow those approved in the deferred action program through the federal government to receive resident tuition rates beginning the fall 2013 semester.

The deferred action program lets those who came to this country illegally as children, stay in the country legally as long as they are in school or working.
