TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A motorcyclist died after a collision with a car Wednesday night.
The accident happened on La Cholla, south of Ina Road just before 7:15 p.m.
Deputy Tracy Suit with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that 57-year-old Richard Bean was riding his motorcyle south of the intersection of Ina and La Cholla.
Anthony Valdez, 31, was waiting to turn into the Walgreens at Ina and La Cholla but failed to yield to Bean and turned in front of him causing the crash.
Bean collided with the front passenger side of Valdez' vehicle and was taken to the hospital but died before arriving. He was wearing a helmet at the time.
Investigators developed suspicion that Valdez was driving while imparied. He was arrested and booked for manslaughter.
The investigation is ongoing.
