SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - The Army will move headquarters of the 11th Signal Brigade to Fort Hood, Texas, from Fort Huachuca in Arizona.
The Army's announcement of the decision to move the 100-soldier headquarters from Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista says the relocation is tentatively scheduled to take place by July.
The Army says the move is intended to locate the brigade's headquarters with the headquarters of III Corps at Fort Hood.
The Sierra Vista Herald says one of the brigade's four expeditionary signal battalions will remain at Fort Huachuca. Two other battalions are at Fort Hood and one is at Fort Bliss, Texas.
The brigade headquarters returned from a deployment to Afghanistan late last year.
