TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Crews continue to work to prepare for the removal of old Union Pacific Railroad bridge, and preparations will interrupt traffic in the upcoming week.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane near the Marsh Station traffic interchange between Monday, Feb. 25 and Friday, March 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
These preparations and the removal of the bridge are part of an I-10 improvement project that encompasses about 30 miles east of downtown Tucson, according to ADOT.
Starting Monday, the speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph and 10-minute delays are possible. Drivers should be prepared to slow down and use caution throughout the work zone.
If you have questions or comments, call the ADOT project hotline at 1-855-712-8530.
