TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Longtime Tucson businesswoman Dorothy Finley has passed away at the age of 92.

Finley Distributing was started in 1948 by Harold and Dorothy Finley.  The business is located at 2104 South Euclid Avenue.

After Harold Finley's death in 1983, Dorothy Finley became the head of the company.

Back in 2008, Finley Distributing Co. was acquired by Delaware-based investors Hobo Arizona LLC, but have kept operating in Tucson under the name of Finley Distributing.

KGUN9 received the following statement from Finley Distributing regarding the death of Dorothy:

The entire Finley Distributing Family is deeply saddened by the passing of our founder Dorothy Hunt Finley.  Dorothy will always be a big part of Finley as we continue her legacy. She meant so much to each and every employee. We were all in awe of her generosity to our community and proud of the work Dorothy did to make Tucson a better place to live. Her legacy will continue, and I know that I can speak on behalf of our employees when I say it was an honor to work for such an amazing woman.
