City Council votes to rename dog park after fallen K9

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Tucson City Council voted unanimously Wednesday to rename a dog park in Rita Ranch after a fallen K9 Officer.
The vote came after a moving video tribute dedicated to Ivan, who died when an armed man shot and killed him.
The idea was started by fellow police officers who wanted to create a memorial for Ivan.
The Tucson Police Officer's Association collected signatures from residents who live in a 1.5. mile radius from the park.
