FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a man is being held on drunken driving and other charges after his car rear-ended an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer's parked car.
A DPS spokesman says the officer's car was parked in a closed and barricaded rest area on Interstate 40 near Flagstaff on Tuesday.
The Arizona Daily Sun (http://bit.ly/UHOUzk ) reports that the officer sustained minor injuries but was able to pursue the other car when it drove off.
The DPS spokesman says Officer Victor Liebe arrested 47-year-old Stanley Yazzie when Yazzie had to stop at a railroad crossing because of a passing train.
Yazzie is jailed in Flagstaff on charges of DUI, aggravated assault, criminal damage and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
There's no immediate indication that Yazzie has a lawyer.
