TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Traffic detectives are responding to a midtown intersection following a traffic accident that sent one person to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department says a Dodge Ram pickup truck was headed north on Park Avenue when it collided with a Chevy passenger car that was headed east on Grant Road at around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Widmer tells KGUN9 that there were four adults in the passenger car and one of the adults was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The other three people in the passenger car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, according to Widmer.
Traffic detectives have just begun investigating the accident. Widmer expects that the intersection will remain closed for another three hours.
