Winter storm expected later this week
The work week will begin nice before the changes hit. Warm and pleasant weather will once again be with us Monday as high pressure remains in control.
Tuesday, an area of low pressure will dip down from the northwest and bring very gusty winds to the area. Southwesterly breezes will likely range from 25-35 mph with higher gusts. Blowing dust may become a travel hazard Tuesday as our recent low humidity has dried out the soil.
Rain and high elevation snow will begin late Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. Highs on Wednesday will only reach the upper 40s as rain is expected in valley locations. Up higher, snow could accumulate to over 1 foot above 7,000ft. before snow levels fall Wednesday afternoon and evening.
