WASHINGTON (KGUN9-TV) - Several survivors of the January 8 shootings met with first lady Michelle Obama at the White House to discuss gun control this week.
Pam Simon, Patricia Maisch, Nancy Bowman and Faith Salzgeber all traveled to join more than 120 survivors of gun violence from across the country .
They attended the Senate Judiciary hearing on firearms legislation, participated in a press conference and met with their senators and representatives in Congress.
Simon says they took their own stories to Congress to put a "human face" on gun violence.
They will all hold a press conference February 16 at the Christina-Taylor Green Canada del Oro River Park at 2 p.m. to discuss their recent trip.
