Police respond to SWAT situation in midtown, one person in custody

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police responded to a SWAT situation in midtown that stemmed from three burglaries on Thursday afternoon.
Sgt. Maria Hawke tells KGUN9 a woman was in her home near Swan and Glenn when she saw a burglar inside. She ran from the home and called 9-1-1.
When police arrived on scene, a man came out from the home and was detained by police. Sgt. Hawke says charges for this man are unknown at the time.
SWAT used robots and the public announcement system to determine if anyone else is inside the home, but after concluding their response, determined that no one else was inside the home.
Three other homes in the area were burglarized. All three homes have been checked by police and have been cleared.
The SWAT situation itook place at what would have been the fourth home being targeted by a group of individuals.
