9OYS First Warning Weather
Winter isn’t over yet
Meteorologist: April Madison
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Don't let these clear skies and 70's fool you. Wind, rain and is on the way.
Timing for this next system looks to move into southeast Arizona Friday, and continue through Monday.
Friday will be partly cloudy and warm, but strong winds will be the big weather story for the day, with areas of blowing dust east of Tucson. Those winds will blow in much colder temps and a chance for rain and mountain snow.
Rain could start by late Friday night, with snow expected Saturday night into early Sunday. Snow levels will lower below 5000 feet by late Saturday, and potentially to valley floors in some locations. Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected above 7000 feet.
