TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Pima Community College's Governing Board unanimously voted Wednesday at a special meeting to extend their search for a new chancellor and to hire the Association of Community College Trustees as an executive seach consultant.

C.J. Karamargin, Vice Chancellor for Public Information and Federal tells KGUN9 the Board also voted to terminate its contract with R.H. Perry & Associates, a company hired last year to assist in the search.

"It is the Board's plan to have a new chancellor at work by July," Board Chair Dr. Brenda B Even said. "We are marching forward."

The search was placed on hold last week after concerns were raised about one of the two chancellor finalists named last month.
