Female shoplifter attacks store employee with soda can

PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to a shoplifting incident around 12:40 p.m., Jan. 11 at the TJ Maxx store located at 6230 N. Oracle Road.

Once deputies arrived at the scene, they learned that the female suspect had also thrown a soda can at the store's loss prevention employee. 

Detectives investigating the incident determined that the suspect had stolen several clothing items from the store, which included shoes, underwear and a variety of other articles. According to the victim, the woman had concealed the merchandise in her purse.

In a news release, Deputy Tom Peine said that when the loss prevention employee of the store confronted the suspect, she pushed him out of the way and then threw a soda can at him striking him in the chest. 

The suspect is described as a Caucasian female in her mid to late 20s with reddish hair. Anyone with information about the identity or the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
