TUCSON (AP) - A Tucson man will spend his life in prison after being convicted of first-degree murder and other felony charges in a deadly home invasion.
Manuel Jesus Pesqueira was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday in a Pima County Superior courtroom.
Pesqueira was accused of being one of two men who broke into a Tucson apartment seeking drugs and money on June 29, 2011.
One of the apartment's occupants - 25-year-old Leonardo Cota-Leyva - was fatally shot in the head. Authorities say a second man escaped injury.
